FAQ - Maternity
When is the best time to take maternity pictures and when should I schedule my maternity session?
Maternity sessions are typically done between 30-36 weeks of pregnancy. This allows me to capture you in full pregnant form and before you get too uncomfortable for posing. (however, this doesn't mean that I wont photograph you if you're over 36 weeks). Maternity sessions should be scheduled as early in the pregnancy as possible to ensure availability.
Do I have to show my bare belly?
NO. I do not want you to feel uncomfortable for you session. I want you to feel beautiful, at ease, and happy for your session. Ultimately, these photos are for you and we will discuss ahead of time, ideas for location, wardrobe, props, etc.
Can my spouse/ child/ pet be included in my session?
Of course! While my main focus will be on you and that sweet bump, spouses and children are always encouraged to take part in this special time!
Where do sessions take place?
Majority of maternity sessions take place at an outdoor location of your choice. If you don't have a location in mind, no worries! I have lots of great options! (Travel fees will apply outside of the greater Albuquerque area).
If you are purchasing the Mini Maternity session, it will take place at my natural light, indoor studio, conveniently located in the uptown are here in Albuquerque, NM.
When will my pictures be ready and how do I get them?
After your session, I will work on uploading and editing your images. This process may take up to 2 weeks (typically sooner). Once I am done editing the images, I will email you instructions to view all of the images from your session in an online gallery. From there, you will be able to share them with your friends and family, and you’ll be able to choose your images for download (amount depends on your session package), and even order any professional prints/ products, or extra digital images you may want (NO obligation to order anything extra).
