Albuquerque, NM Summer Maternity Photo Session at The Alameda Open Space

One of my favorite sessions (I know... I have a lot of them!) is Maternity! There is just something so magical about a woman carrying a growing child! 

Some of you may know that when I was pregnant with my daughter (who is now three), I never had any maternity pictures taken, and it is now one of my biggest regrets... EVER! My excuse was always that I was huge and didn't "feel" pretty. While that may have been how I felt at the time, I didn't stop to think about what I would be missing out on and what I would later regret. 

I want to stress to all you moms-to-be... YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL! And believe me, you will want to look back at your photos of your growing belly one day and admire and reminisce on this magical time in your life!

This sweet momma-to-be was just about 39 weeks pregnant with her second and she looked just as beautiful as ever! And big sister-to-be was so excited to have a baby brother on the way! Alameda Open Space was the perfect location for this Maternity Photo Session.

I was so happy to photograph this sweet couple and their first expecting bundle... a baby GIRL! They were so sweet and you could just see their excitement shin through in their photos. This momma to be made pregnancy look like a breeze too... so beautiful! 

This session took place in the beautiful bosque in Coralles, NM. I love this location for all of the big bosque trees, the Rio Grande River, and of course the gorgeous Sandia Mountains in the background. We incorporated some sweet baby girl shoes, a sonogram pictures, and some other sweet mementos. I love how these images came out!!

Winter Pregnancy Announcement | Albuquerque Maternity Photographer

I absolutely LOVE this winter Maternity Session! Mom and dad sure did brave the cold weather to get these wonderful shots! 

We incorporated several special details like, a sweet ornament or two, a cozy christmasy blanket, candy canes, baby shoes, and I loved wrapping mom's belly in ribbon like a sweet Christmas present!
